The 2nd floor of Roosevelt is vast, and NEXT University requires many separate areas for designated tasks as well as places that are acoustically private.
My goal as the designer is to make sure the space is balanced and utilized effectively while promoting occupant wellness by providing modular workspaces that meet the WELL Building Standard feature V02 “Ergonomic Workstation Design” to suit individual preferences. Adhering to the LEED category “Quality Views/Daylight” means making sure there is plentiful access to natural light throughout.
The use of adjustable furniture means everyone will have the ability to work in a way that is comfortable for them, increasing productivity. There will also be modular spaces for collaboration, and the views of nature provided via window will boost creativity.
